Six of these chairs around a dining room table...

Casa Elena

Found Casa Elena from a blog of a fellow named Myles Henry, incredible name. Myles Henry, not Elena. Reminds me of the Ace in Palm Springs, only better.

Photographs

Aaron Ruell, and Pink Tea at the Martine Chaisson Gallery in NoLa would be awesome if we had any sort of pink furniture anywhere. Which we don't I guess.

Next needlepointing project? and fun shiny nook. Fun.

Monday, September 27, 2010

Finally inspired again! It's the prospect of OWNING a real, albeit tiny, house. So here Shawn, look at this.

Especially the part where they put cacti INTO candlesticks! And the handles and weird lighthouse ceiling lights in the kitchen. And also the windows you like. The end.

Buffalo...

This couch would be lovely minus the giant buffalo hide. Upon first reflection, it looks rugged and organic BUT I almost gagged after sitting on the one in the Ace Hotel lobby; it's a tangled, dirty mat of pokey fur. Bleghh!

Hunt for Seating

Shawn look at this hanging light (in the first image) and of course the chairs. This is a post for chairs.

Ace Hotel

My favorite Ace Hotel is the one in Palm Springs- these curtains would be a great door covering at the shabin.

Cooper's Beach

Going to the beach was delightful and if it had been hot enough to swim I would have worn this swimming cap!
Some parts of these Hampton-y interiors would work upstate, can't quite figure out which though...

Cabin

Straw mats mellow out an interior so well, even if it's full of manly modern things. I'm making the mental note. (this is from a 2004 W Magazine, wild...)

Color!

Okay okay grey is kind of depressing, this is true. You know what isn't depressing? Dutch doors! and RAINBOWS!

Yossy

You are always painting your kitchen walls exciting colors so I think you would be able to rock painted cabinets as well, yeah?
And THEN these guys put a fedora on their dog. The end.

Beaver Sticks

These windows are made from twigs that were chewed on by beavers! I just hope this adorable little girl got to be the stick-huntress!

Plus I just want to make a note of this sliding door, ahem, Shawn:

Pink Living Room

These people picked a nursery color for their living room and it looks amazing! I think I could only do this if I had that old hunting scene and cow (dragon?) skull to offset the girliness.

Piero Fornasetti

I saw this Piero Fornasetti hot air balloon-covered room divider and this morning I can't get enough of him. I've seen the plates before but there are Fornasetti umbrella stands, trays, cups, cabinets and tables; for now I'm just going to put up the dividers. They inspire me!

Fish bowl that doesn't take up any shelf space plus a use for the room divider that I don't have! Clever headboard...
